Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining store operations, and driving sales. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns promptly.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions and returns.
- Maintain accurate stock levels by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays.
- Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide change accurately.
- Assist in inventory management, including conducting stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom areas.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is an advantage for managing inventory and sales transactions.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling cash and processing payments accurately.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with a diverse customer base.
- Experience in supervising or training new staff members is a plus, contributing to team development.
