"The Risk Insights & Reporting Analyst I supports effective risk oversight and decision-making across the Consumer Bank by transforming data into meaningful insights. This role serves as a centralized reporting resource within the Consumer Banking Risk Management team, integrating information from issue management, complaints, testing, control assessments, and regulatory activities to develop dashboards and governance reports that align with enterprise standards.
The analyst plays a key role in identifying emerging risks, synthesizing trends, and ensuring consistent, accurate reporting for executive leaders, governance committees, and risk partners. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Dashboard Development & Maintenance - Develops and maintains centralized risk dashboards and reports for the Consumer Bank, providing senior leadership and regulatory bodies with actionable insights.Translates complex risk data into clear visualizations and strategic insights. Designs and manages dashboards that track key risk metrics across issue management, complaints, control testing, regulatory readiness, and redress activities. Collaborates with risk leads and analysts to collect, validate, and aggregate data from multiple sources. Enhances efficiency and accuracy by implementing automated or semi-automated data extraction processes.
- Trends and Emerging Threats - Analyzes issue and complaint themes to identify recurring patterns, systemic gaps, and emerging risks across lines of business (LOBs). Collaborates with the Self-Testing Manager to incorporate control effectiveness insights into risk reporting. Partners with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and ensure the integrity of risk data. Leverages data analysis to proactively detect risk trends and support timely mitigation strategies.
- Governance & Executive Reporting - Supports the development of executive-level risk reporting and governance materials through data synthesis, visualization, and narrative development. Assists in preparing materials for risk committees, board-level governance, and executive leadership reviews. Compiles and formats risk data into reporting packages and visual presentations, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance templates. Works cross-functionally to draft preliminary narratives and talking points that contextualize key risk themes and trends, enabling senior leaders to interpret results effectively.
- KRI Development and Monitoring - Supports risk trend analysis and early detection efforts by identifying emerging threats and maintaining key risk metrics. Analyzes issue and complaint themes to uncover recurring patterns, systemic gaps, and emerging concerns across lines of business (LOBs). Assists in developing and maintaining key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk appetite metrics aligned with the Consumer Bank's risk framework.
- Automation & Process Optimization - Assists in automating risk reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Contributes to the automation and optimization of operational and compliance risk self-testing efforts, supporting sustainable and scalable solutions.
- Regulatory, Audit, and Redress Support - Assists in organizing and providing relevant risk data and documentation to support internal audits, regulatory exams, and model validation efforts. Supports redress initiatives by helping ensure data completeness and accuracy at key tollgates within the redress process. Coordinates with control owners and risk teams to track required documentation and maintain audit-ready records.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

QualificationsMinimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience:
- Two years experience supporting risk reporting, data analysis, or compliance functions within a financial services or banking environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of banking regulations, risk frameworks, and governance structures
- Exposure to regulatory exams, internal audits, or governance processes, with a focus on data preparation and documentation
- Experience working cross-functionally with risk, compliance, and data teams to support reporting and trend analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear narratives and executive summaries
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions
