WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:
The Risk Management Analyst provides all Red Cross lines of service with information concerning the Red Cross Property and Casualty risk management program to maintain maximum protection of the organization’s assets.

The work location for this position is 100% virtual/work from home. The position can be worked from anywhere in the United States.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
As part of the Risk Management team, the Analyst will:
  • Provide support to Red Cross operations (Humanitarian, Training Services, and Biomedical Services) in analyzing, identifying, and mitigating potential risk arising from various programs and activities.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for Certificates of Insurance (COIs), including processing, verification, and documentation to ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
  • Review COIs for accuracy, analyze coverage details against contract specifications (e.g., limits, endorsements, effective dates), and communicate with insurance providers, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and provide guidance.
  • Review various contracts and agreements for insurance and risk transfer provisions.
  • Work closely with operating units, management at varying levels, insurance broker and any or all vendors who support the risk management program.
  • Provide risk management support to Supply Management, the Office of General Counsel, and all Red Cross business units.
  • Assist with special projects and communicate findings to Sr. Analysts or Directors.
  • Review and update Risk Management publications and communications as assigned.
  • Support the annual corporate insurance renewal process by collecting exposure data and reviewing insurance quotes, binders, and policies for accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining the Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
  • Use spreadsheet applications to manage and analyze risk-related data.
  • Participate in Risk Management presentations to other groups within the Red Cross.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Scope: Individual contributor that works under limited supervision. Apply subject matter knowledge. Capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • A professional designation in insurance (CPCU) or Risk Management (ARM) is desirable.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience, with at least 3 of those years in commercial insurance or risk management.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of applicable Risk Management principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable.
  • Experience with Risk Management Information System (RMIS), preferred.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Ability to work in a remote fast-paced, changing environment juggling multiple priorities.
  • Operational flexibility required to meet sudden and unpredictable business needs.

Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system.

  • Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

PAY INFORMATION:
The annual salary range for this position is $100K - $120K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
