Job Overview:
CMSCG Clinical Consultants work on-site with nursing home (SNF/LTC) providers to assist with a wide range of services, including:
- Pre- and Post-Survey assistance – Mock Survey/Quality Review, Survey Readiness, Compliance Monitoring, Plan of Correction development and implementation, Directed InService training and corrective action monitoring, Immediate Jeopardy assistance
- Development and implementation of clinical protocols
- Chart auditing
- Staff skills assessment
- Education and training for staff at the departmental as well as individual level, including mentoring of DON, ADON and middle-management staff members
At the conclusion of any site visit, a written, comprehensive summary report is provided to Administration to use as a “roadmap” in developing corrective action plans.
Minimum Requirements:
- Post-acute / Long Term Care Nursing Experience
- Nursing Administration experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing or in a Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement position
- Intimate knowledge of regulatory requirements, including the long-term care survey process
- Strong report writing skills (samples will be required)
- Ability to develop and assist with the implementation of clinical protocols
- Proven history of assisting in obtaining superior clinical outcomes related to regulatory compliance reviews
- Thorough understanding of the auditing process
- Comfort with providing group education and interacting with client staff at both the administrative and departmental level on an individual basis
- Excellent computer skills including strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
CMSCG Consultants are based in the greater NYC area and travel to/from clients daily. Routine/daily travel is a requirement for this position as services are provided on-site. Some out of state travel may be required on an as-needed basis, and candidates must be able to accept these assignments. No evenings, weekends or on-call assignments. All assignments are Monday-Friday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
