Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment providing on-site home hemodialysis to adult and geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility setting in Charlottesville, VA. The RN will utilize the NXStage dialysis system to deliver more frequent, gentle treatments aimed at enhancing patient comfort and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer dialysis treatments within a skilled nursing facility setting.
- Operate the NXStage dialysis machine to deliver in-facility home hemodialysis.
- Assess patients pre-, during, and post-treatment; monitor vital signs and respond to complications.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Crown Web EMR.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on dialysis treatment plans and compliance.
- Follow infection control policies and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent dialysis nursing experience – Required
- Experience working with geriatric patients – Required
- Proficiency with the NXStage dialysis system – Required
- BLS certification (AHA) – Required
- Active Virginia RN license or Compact License – Required
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for local travel – Required
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,080.00 - $2,352.00 per week
