Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Services team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassion. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and collect specimens as required.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility support.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and overall care planning.
- Educate patients and families on health needs, treatments, and recovery plans tailored to individual circumstances.
- Serve as an advocate for patient safety, comfort, and emotional well-being.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a valid compact license.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Active certifications in:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
(New hires have 90 days from start date to obtain American Heart Association certifications if not already current.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in emergency or acute care settings.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
