Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Services team on a temporary basis. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in alignment with nursing standards and scope of practice.
- Administer medications, collect specimens, and provide clinical treatments as prescribed.
- Accurately document all patient care and monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient transfers, discharges, and referrals, as well as psychosocial and spiritual support.
- Assess patient and family learning needs, providing education that is culturally sensitive and tailored to individual circumstances.
- Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring both their physical and emotional needs are addressed.
Requirements
- Current RN license in New Mexico or a valid compact state license.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already current).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in emergency services or acute care settings.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
