Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Nights)
Location – Kingsbury Pavilion | Keene, NH
13 weeks (option for 26 weeks or Jan 3, 2026 end date)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 12-hour Nights | 36 hrs/week guarantee
Patient Population: Adult–Geriatric | Custodial Unit (lower acuity, ratios up to 9:1)
Position Overview
Cheshire Medical Center is seeking two experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join the Med Surg team for night shifts. Travelers will provide total nursing care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patient and family education while ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards.
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks (extensions considered; must not end before Dec holidays)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: Every other weekend & holidays required
- On-Call: None
- Guarantee: 36 hrs/week
- Orientation: Non-billable (0 hrs)
- Holiday/OT Multiplier: 1.25x
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years Med Surg required
- Licensure: NH RN license in-hand at submission (compact accepted; no pending)
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) – required
- Skills:
- Must be willing to float to Thompson Unit and Kingsbury Custodial patients (lower acuity, higher ratio)
- EPIC EMR experience – required
- Traveler must have own vehicle
Additional Notes
- Cheshire will not consider local travelers (must live >50 miles away).
- Shift accommodation requests (block scheduling, etc.) will not be considered.
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs (traveler provided; no logos).
