SUMMARY
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing day-to-day nursing services across HOPE’s programs in outpatient care. This position provides direct supervision and support to nursing staff, ensures compliance with medical and clinical standards, and fosters a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care environment. The Nurse Supervisor works closely with program managers, clinical teams, and leadership to support client care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Adheres to agency policy and procedures, CARF and DMHSAS standards and criteria, federal and state confidentiality rules and regulations, and any special funding or contract source requirements.
Supports and promotes a service environment for individual in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives. Attends annual core competencies training in relationship to individuals with co-occurring disorders or who have experienced trauma in their lives.
Provides clinical supervision and daily support to nursing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance feedback
Oversees nursing care practices in alignment with CARF, DMHSAS, and CCBHC standards
Ensures medication protocols are followed, including storage, administration, and documentation
Participates in treatment team meetings to support integrated, multidisciplinary care
Monitors compliance through chart audits and provide coaching as needed
Assists with incident documentation and follow-up related to nursing care
Provides in-service training and education to staff on safe medication practices, infection control, and other relevant topics
Delivers direct nursing care, including assessments, injections, and crisis intervention as needed
Acts as the liaison between the nursing team and clinical/program leadership
Supports coordination with pharmacy providers to ensure continuity of care
May be asked to provide after-hours or weekend coverage in coordination with agency needs
Provides clinical consultation to ensure appropriate course of treatment. May be required to provide consultation services outsides scheduled work hours.
Provides nursing care feedback to clinical and leadership team to improve the overall physical and psychiatric care of our clients.
Approves medical record documentation methods for nursing care. Audits records to monitor compliance.
Assures multidisciplinary planning, treatment and evaluations occur effectively in treatment team meetings.
Participates in leadership, management, and clinical team meetings as well as any meetings designated outside of the agency.
Interacts with other professionals to discuss therapy or treatment, new resources or techniques, and to share information.
Reports and documents services in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
Provides back up coverage to the URC in accordance with the established chain of coverage.
Performs other related duties as assigned. May be required to work evening or weekend hours.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Licensure and registration by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as a registered nurse required.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience with preference in a psychiatric mental health population and one-year previous clinical supervisory role in a nursing/administrative management experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- RN license in good standing
- Completion of Therapeutic Options or approved safety training and annual updates required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Enhanced ability to read and comprehend instructions, proficient in correspondence in any communication outlet. Enhanced writing techniques and ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to families, clients, and other employees of the organization. Effective communication skills in presenting a training event.
