Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. The Nursing Supervisor will play a critical role in coordinating patient care, managing nursing operations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
This position is for an Assistant Director of Nursing for House Coverage 10hrs Flex. Scheduled time is 10PM - 8AM. Staff is required to work Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
Duties
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care.
- Oversee the administration of medications and treatments, ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess medical conditions to determine necessary interventions.
- Ensure proper documentation of medical records, including treatment plans and patient progress.
- Implement infection control measures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Plan and Develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance. Monitor performance for patient care, assess units w with nurse managers and communicates and assists w with any corrective action. Develop Record keeping system to record medication errors/counselling
Skills
- Proficient in medical imaging techniques and their application in patient care.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices within a hospital setting.
- Experience with medical records management and compliance standards.
- Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Familiarity with gastric lavage procedures and related interventions.
- Understanding of aliment management for patients with specific dietary needs.
- Experience in toddler care, addressing the unique needs of pediatric patients.
- Knowledge of occupational health principles as they relate to nursing practice.
- Strong skills in discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
