Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care to patients with critical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data to assess patients' conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform catheter care and assist with critical care transport when necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement discharge planning for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and home community care.
- Conduct assessments of patients’ physiological status, including infant care when applicable.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated on workers' compensation law and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) processes as they relate to patient care.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Knowledge of physiology and sonography is preferred.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is advantageous.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
- Prior experience in telemetry or critical care nursing is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in nursing practices.
