JOB OVERVIEW:
Houston vein and vascular has 5 locations located in Spring, Bellaire, Sugar land, Katy and Pasadena. We would like an RVT or US technologist to be able to travel to any of the locations. RVT and a Vascular technologists use specialized ultrasound equipment to help doctors diagnose disorders related to a person’s blood flow movement. Vascular technologists use ultrasound techniques to deeply examine a patient’s vascular health using their training to help diagnose deep vein conditions, venous insufficiency, vascular disease, and more.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Complete Patient Exam Preparation
- Perform Ultrasound Examinations under supervision of a physician
- Analyze Tests Results and review images to check for quality and thoroughness
- Provide Direct Patient Care, follow any sterilization procedures and use caution when in direct content with patients.
- Create Reports and Treatment Plans
- After analyzing a patient’s images, prepare reports and maintain documents according to employer policies and procedures.
- Write down findings and keep track of patients’ records.
- File changes and enter data on vascular procedures performed.
Skills:
- Ultrasound imaging – RVT operate equipment to acquire diagnostic images and to conduct pertinent testing
- Basic life support –Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to show they can provide life-saving support in a healthcare emergency
- Data entry – On a daily basis, vascular technologists record results in an electronic software platform and update patient records
- Analytical skills – Deductive reasoning is important for technologists to spot abnormalities that could signal unhealthy blood flow in a patient
- Interpersonal skills – Vascular technologists must be able to quickly build rapport with patients to ensure a smooth and accurate encounter
- Organizational skills – Physicians depend on vascular technologists to keep precise and accurate records
- RVT is a requirement
Position may turn Full Time as the business grows
Requirements
- Education: Preferred graduate from an accredited RVT program
- Certification/Licensure
- Associates degree in radiology, sonography, or completion of an accredited one-year ultrasound training program
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
