Job Description
Site Safety Plans
- Responsible for playing a supportive role in all aspects of the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Programs including maintaining the EHS e-file structure.
- Top 15: Assist with completing all corrective action items to increase the current top 15 score of 46.02%.
- Hearing Conservation: Coordinate annual hearing conservation training and testing for all affected TM’s
- Shoe Mobile: Coordinate shoe mobile visits at a time that will accommodate both shifts.
- Eyewear program: Manage the eyewear program and keep track of all participants.
- Respiratory Protection Appendix D: Issue light duty dust mask and have TM sign the appendix D form and file it in the training folder.
- Support Hazard Communication program with chemical inventory and SDS audit.
Training
- Conduct training as required (PIT classroom and practical evaluation, deliver awareness level training, cover NEO training as needed or serve as a backup).
- Coordinate evacuation and take cover drills.
- Documentation all training in the e-file structure
- Collect Awareness Topics and Safety Alert Sign in sheets record and file.
Injuries and Illnesses
- Perform basic first aid and initiate emergency services when needed
- Incident Notification and Supervisors Incident Report
- Verify AIC entries are complete and accurate
- Assisting with incident investigation to determine the root cause and contributing factors and assign corrective actions.
- Verify completion of corrective action items
- Close out the incident
Inspections
- Perform Daily tasks spending approximately 70% of your time on the floor and up to 30% in the office. Examples of daily activity includes the following:
- Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual Inspections will be populated in AIC (See Activity Calendar). Inspections include, but are not limited to the following:
- Eyewash and shower stations
- Post-Indicator Valves
- Quarterly Flow Tests
- First Aid Supplies
- Emergency Lighting / Exit Signs
- Ladders
- Egress points
- Electrical Safety
- Lockout procedures
- Job Hazard Analysis
- Machine guarding
- PPE use and Entanglement
- Verify corrective actions are complete and effective
- Visit with Team Members to check on their well-being and obtain feedback EHS related concerns or issues.
- Review and update the Town Hall Board
- Participate in Town Hall and Shift Change Over meetings and provide teams with critical safety information
- Identify Hazards in the facility and develop plans to correct in a timely manner
- Collect information and take pictures for safety item inventories, assessments, audits, and etc.
Safety Committee
- Serve as the Chairperson for the Safety Committee
- Complete at least one project per quarter
- Update the EHS Leadership Team on all Safety Committee Activities
- Coordinate safety celebrations (30, 60, 90-day celebrations)
- Participate in all other EHS-Related activities (Extreme temperature functions).
Always Aware and Behavior-Based Safety Observations
- Collect Always Aware Audits
- Maintain Always Aware information and develop metrics to review with the Safety Committee
- Perform at least one Behavior-Based Safety Observation weekly
Environmental Programs
- Hazardous / universal waste shipments
- Hazardous / universal waste storage area inspections
- Manage data for landfill avoidance and utilities
- Stormwater regular observations, inspections and annual tests
- Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual Inspections will be populated in AIC (See Activity Calendar). Inspections include, but are not limited to the following:
