Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Salesforce Support Developer focused on supporting and maintaining the health, stability, and reliability of our Salesforce platform and related integrated systems. This role will be critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by promptly addressing break/fix issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing fixes that minimize disruption to business users.
You will work closely with our small team of Salesforce professionals and other IT stakeholders to troubleshoot problems and deliver timely solutions that uphold platform integrity and user satisfaction. This role involves development with a primary focus on support, maintenance, and incremental improvements as well as some new feature
development.
Over time, as you gain more experience and deepen your knowledge of our Salesforce implementation, this role will evolve to include more advanced and complex feature
development, allowing you to take on greater responsibilities and contribute to larger-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement enhancements through low-code(Flow), and pro-code(Apex, Lightning Web Components) to improve usability and efficiency without compromising platform stability.
  • Manage declarative tools such as custom objects, page layouts, reports ,and dashboards to support evolving business needs.
  • Support data quality initiatives and assist with regular system audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Platform Support& Maintenance:
  • Troubleshoot and debug Apex, LWC, Flows, and declarative configurations causing errors or unexpected behavior.
  • Monitor Salesforce platform health and integrations with connected systems (document storage, portfolio accounting, trading, scheduling, marketing, client app).
  • Respond promptly to break/fix incidents, investigate root causes ,and implement effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with end-users and internal teams to understand issues and provide clear communication on status and resolution timelines.
  • Stability & Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in developing and executing test cases to verify fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews and refactor existing customizations to improve maintainability and reduce technical debt.
  • Maintain documentation of known issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to build a knowledge base for the team.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with senior developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to resolve support issues and coordinate fixes.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on workaround procedures and best practices during issue resolution.
  • Communicate effectively across teams to escalate critical issues and share lessons learned.
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement:
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to support and stability.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance monitoring, alerting, and automation to reduce incident volume and impact.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in Salesforce development or administration with demonstrated experience in support ,troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce declarative features (Reports, Dashboards), low-code (Flows) and pro-code components (Apex, LWC).
  • Experience debugging software issues, analyzing logs, and investigating unexpected behaviors.
  • Basic understanding of database concepts and integration points between Salesforce and external systems.
  • Experience with safely loading and manipulating data within Salesforce; familiarity with Data Loader is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, consistency, and adherence to best practices in coding and configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to resolve urgent issues.
  • Effective communication skills with empathy to understand user challenges and explain technical details clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification preferred; Administrator or Platform App Builder certifications are a plus.
  • Prior exposure to agile methodologies and change management processes is beneficial.
