The Seasonal Store Sales Manager (SSM) is responsible for leading and managing the store team to drive sales and achieve sales goals. This includes leading the team with daily goals, merchandising, product management and add on sales. This position also requires extensive product knowledge, maintaining inventory levels, control costs, proper staffing and overall day to day operations of the retail location. This position is approximately August 1 through January 15th.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the store team to achieve sales goals daily, weekly and monthly.
- Role model behavior regarding leadership, communication, selling, operations and training/developing of all associates.
- Motivate team to achieve sales goals through enthusiastic behavior, goal setting, creating a fun environment and in-store contests (with approval).
- Communicate/partner with GM on store sales goals and results, daily happenings, personnel issues and planning of store operations.
- Write proper schedules within plan/budget for the daily operations of the store.
- Continually learn the operations of the store and company for personal development.
- Properly plan holiday excess business, product and staffing.
- Responsible for opening and closing of the store and securing all store assets.
- Responsible for recruitment, training, coaching and development of store associates.
- Drive sales in the store by following sales guidelines and procedures including sampling and selling products with passion and enthusiasm, while providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain product knowledge and stay abreast of changes in product assortment. Train all associates on product changes.
- Execute floor sets, pricing, signage, promotional activities and other merchandising strategies according to company directives.
- Execute store inventory procedures and train associates on inventory control and minimizing product waste.
- Follow established policies, practices, and procedures including quality, sanitary, and safety guidelines. This includes compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Foster the brand image and reputation through impeccable personal presentation and attitude.
- Ring customer transactions using the POS system, actively sell add-ons at the point of sale, and follow through on excellent up selling. Follow proper cash handing procedures.
- Pursue Business to Business sales opportunities in the community according to established procedures.
- Complete daily banking as needed (daylight hours only) and following all proper safety procedures.
- Complete daily audit of deposit log, cash funds, safe contents and all paperwork.
- Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Top candidates for this position will have a three to five years experience in the retail leadership environment. Must have excellent communication skills, sales skills, and organizational skills and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $28/hour. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
