This is a shift position to support 24/7 operations.
As a senior IT Service Technician, this individual will be a key player in resolving complex technical issues and optimizing desktop services for government clients. Their advanced skills will ensure highly reliable IT support for federal agencies, contributing to their mission success.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as a technical point of contact for complex desktop hardware, software, and network issues encountered by government end-users.
- Provide phone, collaboration remote tools, and in-person advanced technical support for desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices to government end-users.
- Lead the resolution of critical IT incidents and develop proactive solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Perform advanced system configurations, deployments, and image management.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to the development of support documentation and training materials.
- Ensure strict adherence to government IT security policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- A+ Certification
- Net+ Certification
- CCNA Certification
- 5+ years of related experience
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, PC operating systems, network operating systems, and common business applications to include in-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, enterprise applications, and network protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve highly technical and intricate IT problems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in a senior desktop support or field engineer role, preferably in a government environment.
- ITIL Foundation or advanced ITIL certifications.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess active Secret Clearance
- Must be able to obtain a DHS Suitability
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,500.00-$144,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
