Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including specials, to enhance guest knowledge and encourage upselling.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables efficiently while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for checks.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Assist with training new staff members on restaurant protocols, menu items, and customer service techniques.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a server role within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check calculations.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus but not required.
