Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for providing outstanding guest services, managing food handling procedures, and maintaining sanitation standards within the establishment. Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas throughout the shift.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of orders.
- Assist in maintaining an organized dining area and restocking supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
- Excellent guest relations skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Proficient in using restaurant management software such as OpenTable is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays and weekends.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
