The Shipping & Receiving Clerk responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains a database of shipment information and documentation to ensure that customer orders are updated accurately and filed accordingly.
- Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records.
- Coordinates orders for shipment.
- Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
- Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
- Answers phones and generates computerized reports.
- Responsible for inventory management and cycle counts of product.
- Responsible for shipping invoices.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Attention to detail: Accuracy is crucial in verifying shipments and maintaining records.
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain an organized workspace.
- Communication skills: Effectively communicating with team members, vendors, and other departments.
- Basic computer skills: Using inventory management systems, data entry, and potentially barcode scanners.
- Physical stamina: This role often involves lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with Supply Chain is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
First shift role- 7am – 3:30pm
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
