Manage transportation services to all Sunny Creek Farm customers as well as meeting SCF internal transportation requirements. Verifying and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. Handling of shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, and routes.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Direct a crew to handle incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
·Plan loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and seals loaded trucks and truck doors
·Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notifies manager or maintenance personnel for repair
·Coordinate movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas
·Understanding of the Sunny Creek Farm FIFO policy
·Keeping inventory, cleanliness and organization of all coolers
·Awareness of cooler temperatures, informs maintenance if out of range, fills out form
·Is familiar with and follows all Sunny Creek Farm Food Defense Policies
·Familiar with FSMA traceability requirements
Starting wage: $18.50
*wage may increase as needed based on experience.
