Description
Full-time shuttle driver (CDL not required) to run a set route during the school year, not including breaks. The school year runs from late August through mid-May.
Shifts may include afternoon and/or evening hours.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Runs set route with one 14 passenger shuttle Sunday-Wednesday; two 14 passenger shuttles running concurrently Thursday-Saturday.
- Provide safe and efficient transportation in accordance with HWS safety regulations and policies.
- Conduct pre and post-inspections of vehicles, clean bus after each trip, and report any mechanical issues.
- Report any irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations to Campus Safety.
- In the event of an accident or passenger illness, contact the appropriate emergency agency and cooperate with responders.
- Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
- Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
- Perform other functions as assigned by management.
Other Information:
This is a full-time, 10 month, non-exempt, benefits eligible position. This position description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned. Work hours depend on shift(s) assigned during the academic year. Pay rate is $25 per hour.
Qualifications
- Must have valid Driver’s License (CDL not required)
- Must pass Colleges’ motor vehicle and criminal background checks.
- Understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times
- Ability to be sensitive to and respond to the needs/concerns of students, faculty, college staff and the public
