SUMMARY: Cabana Host are responsible for greeting and assisting guests. A Cabana Host assists in making guests reservations and changes as needed. Cabana Host is responsible for supplying guests with fresh towels, water, take and filling guest’s food & beverage orders. While interacting with guest the Cabana Host must always maintain a professional decorum and appearance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Greet all guests in professional and welcoming manner
• Escort guest to cabana
• When seating a party, inform guests of amenities and how to contact host
• Deliver all orders in timely manner
• Be aware of any special instructions, birthday, anniversaries….
• Return to cabana hut when finished. Someone should always be at stand to assist/answer any guest’s questions/concerns
• Report any guest or maintenance issues to supervisor immediately
• Maintain cabana hut and area around the hut clean and uncluttered
• Clean in and around all cabanas daily
• Thank all guests and inquire on their experience
• Report all complaints to management on duty
• All other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: (Level 3) High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS: (Level 1) Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: (Level 1) Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: (Level 1) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• ABC Serving Permit
• Yearly Responsible Serving Class
