What You’ll Be Doing:
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications within a large-scale VM infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and swift issue resolution for critical engineering tools and services.
- Develop and enhance tools, scripts, and web interfaces, including reporting dashboards and automation solutions to optimize compute farm efficiency and data acquisition.
- Create responsive and user-friendly UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, while implementing robust server-side logic with Python for high-performance applications.
- Collaborate with a global team of experienced engineers, sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Participate in the design, deployment, and scaling of infrastructure projects, ensuring reliability, scalability, and automation across distributed compute resources.
- Monitor system health and performance using industry-leading tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch), implementing proactive measures for backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Support the hiring and growth of the infrastructure team by mentoring new members and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of experience with atleast 2+ years in system administration, DevOps, or application support within large-scale or distributed environments.
- Proficiency with Linux (AlmaLinux, CentOS) and Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Front-end development expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React; back-end experience with Python (Flask or Django is a plus).
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch).
- Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
