Qualicare Home Care is seeking Speech Therapists Assistants for PRN (as-needed) roles in North Texas due to high demand for our home health services.

Requirements:

• Self-starter, ready to begin immediately!!!
• Texas-licensed Speech Therapist Assistant
• Home health experience preferred
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay requirements (e.g., homebound rule).
• Must pass Texas DPS background check before onboarding, with annual rechecks, per Texas HHS standards.

This position requires a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable personal automobile for local travel to provide care to clients in the Denton County, Texas area. Mileage is reimbursed for at home visits. We offer pediatric, adult, and geriatric care.

Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate will work with patients to treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide therapy to patients with various communication and swallowing disorders
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and families to implement treatment plans
• Maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes

Skills:

• Experience in pediatrics, adults and geriatrics or school settings
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech pathology
• Ability to work independently in in-home care environments
• Proficiency in patient assessment techniques
• Strong case management skills
• Compassionate patient care approach
• Experience with standardized testing procedures

Qualifications:

• Meets the qualifications as established by ASHA or other professional organization
• Licensed to practice Speech Therapy in the state of Texas
• Minimum one year experience in a home healthcare setting
• One-year experience in geriatric or pediatric care preferred
• Experience working in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Ability to provide patient care in a variety of settings, including home community care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
