Salary Range - $22.00 - $23.84/hour. The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Executive Steward with the operational needs. The role is also responsible for supervising the stewarding department and ensuring that all outlet surfaces and utensils are clean and in compliance with all Health department requirements and resort guidelines.
Essential Functions

- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Supervise activities of stewarding team.
- Comply and ensure compliance with all safety standards by following all safety rules and procedures.
- Check banquet hallway, loading dock, and receiving area for cleanliness.
- Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen, storerooms, hallways, dock, and equipment.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in all kitchens, back dock, dumpster and utility work areas.
- Keep management informed of shortage of equipment and supplies.
- Operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure that all china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly and sanitation of such is maintained.
- Knowledge of proper safe handling techniques for all chemicals used.
- Report any faulty equipment to management.
- Know the location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment.
- Follow the proper procedures in the breakdown, cleaning and reassembling of all kitchen equipment, as needed.
- Follow all sanitation standards.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a Steward is a must
Work Conditions and Schedule
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to stand during entire shift.
- Must be able to withstand temperature variations both hot and cold.
- May require lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
- This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
