McGann Building Supply is seeking a store manager, who is a purposeful leader with a strong interest in the building materials & hardware industry.
We are a family-owned lumber & building supply company with a long history of serving the UP since 1950.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise store staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Implement effective sales management techniques to meet or exceed store sales targets
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage day-to-day operations by overseeing receiving, stocking, and delivery processes, and ensuring efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and team members.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and pricing strategies.
- Solid knowledge of building materials, lumber, hardware products & industry operations.
