Strategic Business Development Representative


About this position

Vitruvi Software, recently described as “A leading Geospatial Construction Management Solution” in PRNewswire, is looking for ambitious and driven Sales Development Representatives to add to our team. As a member of the Sales Organization at Vitruvi, the Strategic Business Development Representative will play a key role in the Sales team. This role will help stakeholders accelerate business strategies, meet goals and objectives, enhance the sales workstream, and increase the sales pipeline by using data insights and lead follow up activities.

This role is responsible for providing data analyses that leads to actionable recommendations and a deeper understanding of customer behavior, the ideal customer profiles and ultimately, increasing bookings. This role will mine through large datasets from multiple different sources to find trends, segment customers, and provide stakeholders with the best possible data to make decisions. In addition, this role will include following up on incoming leads (MQL’s) and passing them on to the sales team.


About you

You have 1-3 years of experience in Business Development at a SaaS business or experience working with leadership in the telecommunications industry. You strive to continuously learn on the job. You are energetic and well organized, have an energetic phone presence, excellent listening and strong written communication skills. You are a self-starter with a proven track record of success and tenacity. You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate easily and effectively across all levels of the organization.


Responsibilities

Within 60 Days, You’ll: (Book first Demo)

  • Build on your knowledge of Vitruvi by working closely with the Sales & Marketing team
  • Research prospective clients and acquire high-level contacts leveraging third-party databases and social networking sites.
  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop sales-ready leads and opportunities from lead generation activities and outbound cold calling into targeted accounts.
  • Interact with prospects via telephone and email to uncover pain points, identify opportunities and generate interest.

Within 180 Days, You’ll: (6 Demo/month quota)

  • Perfect your knowledge of Vitruvi by becoming certified through Vitruvi University.
  • Have formed a strong working relationship with the North American Sales Team and the individual Account Executives you will be supporting.
  • You’re fully ramped and maintaining a healthy pipeline.
  • Have sourced at least one deal that has closed at the company.

Within 365 Days, You’ll: (10 Demo/month quota)

  • Continue to learn the nuances of enterprise sales.
  • Understand the various approaches and complexities to enterprise sales.

Use your experience and success to help mentor other Sales Development Representatives and develop the skills to take on responsibilities farther along the sales cycle in preparation for your next role as an Account Executive.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, marketing, or another relevant field.
  • 1-3 years experience in business development at a SaaS company or 1 year leadership role within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Docs, Hubspot, Salesforce or other similar CRM.
  • Analytical and detail oriented, with a passion for digging into data to identify key trends, results and, recommended actions
  • Interest in developing your career in Sales and Marketing functions with SaaS companies.
  • Personable, outgoing, works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment in an office in Austin, Texas.
