JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of the assigned classroom. The incumbent provides supervisory guidance and direction to classroom staff, and effectively manages problem solving skills to meet student and staff needs. The incumbent assesses, develops, and implements Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s) for assigned students. The position assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability for managing overall effectiveness of the classroom. The substitute teacher is responsible for the classroom in the absence of the Special Education Teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years’ experience required:
- North Dakota Substitute Teaching License
- Bachelor’s degree in education preferred
- 3 – 5 years of experience as a teacher preferred
