Program Overview
Fitz’s Fish Ponds (FFP) is offering an exciting summer internship opportunity designed for enthusiastic, motivated individuals looking to gain real-world experience in event planning, aquatics, landscaping, marketing, and customer service. This hands-on internship will run from July 7, 2025, through August 24, 2025, culminating in full support of our flagship event, Koi Fest 2025, held on August 22-23.
Program Schedule
- Start Date: Tuesday, July 8, 2025
- End Date: Saturday, August 23, 2025
- Mandatory Event: Koi Fest 2025 – August 22-23
- Weekly Schedule: 2-3 days per week, 8am - 4pm (approximately)
*Week prior to Koi Fest required to be onsite from Monday 08/18 - Saturday 08/23*
Internship Program
Interns will work across various departments and may choose to focus on areas of interest including, but not limited to:
- Event Planning & Coordination
- Marketing & Social Media
- Retail & Customer Experience
- Aquatics & Koi Care
- Logistics & Vendor Relations
- Landscaping & Display Setup/Takedown
Responsibilities
- Provide support in creating and maintaining event timelines, checklists, and other planning documents
- Assist with event setup and breakdown for Koi Fest
- Support customer service and guest interaction on event days
- Coordinate vendor and team logistics
- Contribute to social media content and digital outreach
- Learn basic koi care and aquatics knowledge
- Engage in store merchandising and inventory support
- Represent FFP brand at public-facing events
- and more!
Requirements

- Brief Cover Letter or Personal Statement -- let us know why you’re interested in our program!
- Availability for July - August 2025 - minimum 3x/week onsite
- Indication of preferred internship track
- College students (18+) interested in business, event planning, aquatics, landscaping, retail, marketing, or customer service - a plus!
- Positive, reliable, and enthusiastic team players
- Able to commit to the full duration of the internship
- Passion for animals, outdoor work, and/or event environments - preferred
