Summary
We are seeking a licensed LMFT or LCSW to step into a temporary Supervisor of Clinical Services role. This is a hands-on, leadership position within a substance use and mental health treatment center, covering 3 days per week on-site, approximately 6 hours per day. The role will provide clinical oversight and supervision to ensure quality care at all levels—from detox and residential to outpatient services.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision to AMFTs, including individual and group supervision
- Countersign clinical documentation and progress notes in accordance with legal and regulatory standards
- Oversee and support treatment planning, ensuring alignment with client needs and regulatory expectations
- Conduct utilization review oversight, assisting with medical necessity documentation and coordination with insurance providers
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., DHCS, The Joint Commission)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Provide case consultation, crisis support, and mentorship to the clinical team
- Assist in program development and clinical workflow improvements
Requirements
- Current, active LMFT or LCSW license in the state of California, required
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong background in substance use and/or mental health treatment
- Familiarity with utilization review, treatment planning, and various levels of care (detox, residential, outpatient)
- Prior experience supervising AMFTs or ACSWs
- Excellent documentation, leadership, and communication skills
