The Senior Supplier Performance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our supplier relationships. This role involves a higher level of responsibility and leadership in managing supplier performance, addressing issues, and implementing improvement plans. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Upload purchase order confirmations from suppliers
- Upload and review responses from suppliers regarding part delivery status
- Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct any discrepancies
- Enter quotes from suppliers and inter-company as needed
- Address suppliers slow to respond and/or non-responsive
- Expedite specific urgent items as required
- Develop Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for chronically late suppliers
- Lead improvement efforts with suppliers
- Communicate delivery improvement plan actions with Sales and Purchasing leadership teams
- Manage multiple and changing priorities daily
- Take responsibility for own work and provide support to others
- Schedule appointments and office meetings as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Proven experience in supply chain management or a related role, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
