Our valued staff provide residential services to assist individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible in their home. We have the responsibility for assuring that active treatment is being provided to each client on a continuous basis.
A critical role of this is position is to manage supported living sites and client programs. Your primary purpose is to develop, train and supervise staff, maintain staffing schedules and provide direct care to persons served at all assigned sites. This involves knowing each client’s Person-Centered Individualized Support Plan (PCISP) and taking advantage of all on going, informal opportunities for “teachable moments”, understanding the developmental outcomes of all activities; and adhering to the principles of normalization.
Other responsibilities include:
- Serve as liaison between the site and community, day program, parents, or other involved agencies or individuals
- Manages clients, site and staff systems, materials, financial and scheduling needs
- Provide direct care and guidance for individuals
- Plan and implement social activities
- May be required to cover shifts if no coverage is available, flexible schedule is a must
