What to expect on a typical day:
- Kindly greet patients on the phone and in-person, ensuring they have outstanding experience at our practice.
- Schedule surgical procedures, in-office procedures, and tests as well as outpatient tests.
- Responsible for obtaining precertification and verifying insurance benefits.
- Communicate with patients via phone and portal messages.
- Collaborate with physicians and assist other staff members.
- Perform additional administrative duties for the office as needed.
- Work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.
Qualifications:
- Thoroughness and accuracy required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office required.
- Surgery scheduling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, billing, and benefits preferred.
- Excellent customer service and people skills that allow effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Strong computer skills.
