Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating surgical appointments, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be the primary point of contact for patients and medical staff regarding surgery scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Schedule surgical procedures in accordance with physician availability and patient needs.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and insurance details.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide information about pre-operative instructions and post-operative care.
- Utilize EMR software for scheduling and documentation purposes
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in medical administrative support or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
