Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the consistent maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of critical computer systems, network servers, and virtualization environments, upholding system stability and performance.
- Facilitate seamless upgrades to computer components and software, manage virtual servers effectively, and integrate automation processes to optimize system efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting of hardware and software errors through diagnostics, comprehensive documentation of problems and resolutions, meticulous prioritization of issues, and accurate assessment of impact, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
- Contribute to the creation of detailed documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure, supporting strategic technology initiatives and ensuring clear guidelines for deployment.
- Support robust regular backup operations and implement stringent processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures, safeguarding critical data and ensuring business continuity during unforeseen events.
- Assist with desktop and helpdesk efforts, promptly resolving issues related to desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment to ensure minimal disruption to end-users and maintain productivity.
- Monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure diligently, taking direction from senior personnel to ensure optimal system performance, stability, and security while adhering to established protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), providing a solid foundation in relevant technical concepts.
- 2 years of demonstrable experience in a system administration role, demonstrating practical knowledge and skills in the field.
- DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II certification, ensuring compliance with required security standards for IT personnel.
- Proficiency in Linux or Windows operating systems, indicating hands-on experience with server environments.
- Proven experience with patching and configuring systems, ensuring up-to-date security and optimal system performance.
- Practical experience with containerization or virtualization technologies, demonstrating knowledge of modern deployment and management techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level III certification, reflecting advanced knowledge and expertise in information assurance.

Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $83,300.00-$138,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
