The Title Clerk plays a crucial role in handling the paperwork and registration for vehicles sold by dealerships. They ensure accurate and compliant title transfers, liaise with state DMV offices, and assist customers with title and registration inquiries.
Duties
- Processing Titles and Registrations: Handling all paperwork related to vehicle titles, registrations, and license plate renewals.
- Managing Inventory: Tracking vehicle titles and registration status to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Interacting with Customers: Providing assistance to customers regarding title and registration inquiries and processes.
- Compliance with Regulations: Understanding and adhering to state and federal regulations regarding vehicle registration and title transfer.
- Working with Other Departments: Collaborating with sales, finance, and other departments to gather necessary documentation and ensure smooth transactions.
- Filing and Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of all title and registration transactions.
