Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and garment construction, with the ability to create high-quality clothing and alterations. This role requires proficiency in using sewing machines and a strong understanding of customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct garments according to specifications.
- Perform alterations on existing garments, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for fabric, style, and design.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, including time spent on each project.
- Assist in inventory management of fabrics, threads, and other supplies needed for garment construction.
Skills
- Proficient in sewing techniques and garment construction methods.
- Experience operating various types of sewing machines.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to garment fitting.
- Knowledge of fashion retail trends is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
