Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Preparer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CCH tax software, a solid understanding of audit and tax processes, and a keen interest in process optimization and workflow analysis. This role is ideal for someone who is both technically proficient and process-minded.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns using CCH software.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve and optimize tax preparation workflows.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of tax tools and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations.
- Analyze and improve tax preparation workflows and internal processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of tax filings and client communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide excellent client service and respond to tax-related inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tax Preparer, preferably in a public accounting firm
- Proficiency with CCH tax software
- Strong understanding of tax compliance, audit procedures, and documentation standards.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve processes and workflows.
- Comfortable working with tax tools, digital platforms, and process automation technologies.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
Preferred Skills
- Experience with international tax matters or cross-border clients
- Knowledge of tax process automation tools.
- Familiarity with process mapping or business process improvement methodologies.
