Telephone Crisis Clinician
POSITION SUMMARY: The SCCS Telephonic Crisis Clinician will provide telephonic crisis services for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis and who require intervention from a crisis clinician.
Weekday shifts 5pm-8:30am and are $275 per shift. Weekend shifts 8:30am-8:30am and are $400 per shift. Holiday shift is $450 per shift. *After 10 calls have been completed, the clinician will receive $25 for every extra call after. Expected to take at least 4 weekday and 2 weekend shifts per month.
Accountable and responsible for the following results:
- The SCCS Telephonic Crisis Clinician will report to the Director of Crisis Services, but the SCCS Program Supervisor will provide the first line of supervision while they are working.
- Participate in orientation training on the duties of a crisis service clinician.
- Maintain an active State of Connecticut clinical license.
- Regular attendance at monthly program meetings.
- Attend the SCCS Annual Training in June from 9am-4pm.
- Complete monthly on-call schedule in monthly staff meeting and, if absent for meeting, will submit request for preferred dates to SCCS Clinical Coordinator prior to the staff meeting.
- Provide telephonic crisis services for all hours committed on the monthly schedule.
- Respond to all crisis calls within 10 minutes of receiving them.
- Complete all on-call clinical documentation concurrently with services in Jotform to be emailed to agency providers by 8:30 am the following day.
- Inform SCCS After Hours Supervisor or Director of Crisis Services when unable to perform scheduled duties and make every effort to arrange for coverage by another clinician.
- Inform SCCS Director of Crisis Services of all HIPAA violations immediately.
- Submit timecard by 8:30am on the Monday morning it is due.
- Contact the SCCS After-Hours Supervisor as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Review and follow all SCCS policies and procedures.
- Complete the Annual Inter-rater Questionnaire with 14 days of distribution.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctoral degree in Psychology or master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling required. Must hold a current unrestricted independent clinical licensure issued by the State of Connecticut.
- One to three years’ experience in clinical risk assessment and independent management of clinically complex issues.
- One year of experience working with culturally diverse populations.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
- LCSW/LMFT/PsyD/PHD in clinical psychology
