We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team in a temporary role. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in alignment with nursing standards and scope of practice.
- Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments as required.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor, assess, and communicate patient conditions with care teams, physicians, patients, and families.
- Support patients with daily living activities including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial or spiritual support.
- Provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and individual needs.
- Serve as a strong advocate for patient safety, comfort, and overall well-being.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Mexico or a compact state.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within six months of hire.
