- Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Assists in proper care and handling of batteries; inspect, conduct joint inventory, properly load batteries in contact trucks; deliver batteries to assigned grid positions; exchange batteries on a 1 for 1 basis; use appropriate government forms to issue and receive batteries when required.
- Participate in the 24-hour operation procedures in the collection of vehicle MILES at the Logistical Transfer Control Point (LTCP) otherwise known as 5 Corners.
- Must be capable of working both day and night shifts as scheduled
- Must train and become proficient in military map reading including deciphering and encoding locations using the Military Grid Reference System
- Must become proficient in military communications procedures including using the phonetic alphabet and understanding call signs, pro-words, and acronyms.
- Assist other branches on the contract with mission essential tasks outside of rotations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School or equivalent diploma.
Desired Experience:
- Fork-lift certified.
- Proficient in military map reading.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be in good physical condition capable of prolonged standing and walking over uneven terrain.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Must be able to work irregular hour shifts; length of shifts may vary up to 12 hours as required by the JRTC.
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries.
- Must possess a valid Louisiana State Driver’s License (or other state equivalent).
- Ability to receive fork-lift certification.
- Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
