Job description:
St. Nicholas Center is seeking a self- starting, experienced individual to join St. Nicholas Center as a Therapy Scheduler. As a part of our team, you will input and modify therapy schedules and work hand in hand with our therapy team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Input schedule templates into scheduling software
· Adjust schedule for daily changes or cancels
· Modify schedule templates for temporary and permanent changes
· Attend weekly scheduling meetings
· Track insurance authorization and patient prescription end dates
· Assist with medical receptionist duties
Requirements and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Knowledge of medical scheduling software preferred, not required
· Prior receptionist experience, ideally in a medical clinic
· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
· Attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments
· Ability to work collectively with coworkers
General:
· Possess a valid Driver’s License or state approved ID
· Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check prior to the commencement of employment
· Maintain a valid personal email address and have access to the internet
· Maintain a professional appearance which is appropriate for the work environment as specified in the Employee Handbook including but not limited to grooming and dress standards
- Work on special projects as assigned by a supervisor.
- Inventory and check in/out materials to therapists
- Protect confidential information under the Center’s guidelines and applicable federal laws.
- Abides by all state and federal rules and regulations including but not limited to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) and CPS (Child Protective Services).
- Exhibit loyalty and maintain a positive attitude in the performance of therapy services as well as the overall promotion of the Center and its staff members, programs, and curriculum.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Follow Center policies including but not limited to those described in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL
· Must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, keyboard, bend, reach and lift up to 20 lbs
