The GWS Threat Management Team (TMT) is responsible for the assessment and management of workplace violence prevention incidents, assessing external and internal threats, and supporting a variety of corporate and retail security threats and concerns. The Threat Management Team has oversight of policy, plans, training, screening, threat assessment and management, incident analysis, summary reporting and continuous review/mitigation of threats and workplace violence issues.
The Threat Assessment Manager will be responsible for assessing and managing workplace violence (WPV) concerns; direct and indirect threats against associates, assets, and the business which may include harassing and threatening communications, social media posts, and other incidents. This position will require on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis with other team members

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the confidentiality of customer, associate and business data at all times
Provide direct support to associates experiencing crisis such as suicidality and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)
Stay current on the latest tools to accurately monitor and assess threats
Effectively share information with appropriate management in a time sensitive manner
Maintain proper case management processes and documentation on all threatening incidents
Successfully complete ongoing training and certifications in threat assessment and workplace violence subjects
Threat Assessment & Management
Conduct research and interviews in accordance with all state, federal, and local laws
Conduct threat assessments and investigations
Use a variety of open source and social media networking sources and platforms perform threat assessments on a wide variety of issues and concerns
Collaborate with Legal, Associate Relations, Human Resources, and other partners on workplace violence (WPV) issues including coordinating meetings to review critical incidents, assess program effectiveness and address potential threats
Prepare internal and external documentation on persons of interest or concern
Determine and recommend appropriate mitigation methods that are consistent with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Workplace Violence Mitigation
Liaise with law enforcement on criminal incidents
Participate as an active member in professional security organizations including the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals
Consult with stakeholders regarding employee and contractor terminations and personnel actions that may require security assistance
Develop and deliver training, in person and remotely, in subjects such as Workplace Violence Prevention and Response, Suicide Intervention, Intimate Partner Violence, and general threat assessment process
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 4 years of private sector corporate security, law enforcement, military experience or any combination of the three or equivalent
At least 4 years in Behavioral Threat Assessments
At least 4 years of experience working directly with individuals in crisis
Preferred qualifications
Master's Degree Security Management, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or relevant area of study
At least 7 years of private sector corporate security or Law Enforcement experience
At least 7 years in Behavioral Threat Assessments
Professional certification as a Certified Threat Manager (CTM) through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $126,700 - $144,600 for Manager, Security ServicesRemote (Regardless of Location): $115,200 - $131,500 for Manager, Security Services
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
