Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Thrift Store Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our thrift store, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall mission of our organization. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage inventory effectively.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Manage inventory control by receiving, sorting, and pricing donated items for sale.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist in training and developing new staff members through employee orientation and ongoing support.
- Supervise daily operations, including shift management and team coordination to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct inventory audits to assist in purchasing decisions.
- Utilize retail math skills for pricing strategies and sales management to maximize profitability.
- Other task as assigned
Experience
Candidates should possess a blend of retail experience and essential skills that contribute to the success of our thrift store:
- Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques, marketing strategies, and customer service best practices is essential.
