The West Palm Beach office of Lippes Mathias LLP has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Title Closer to join our vibrant Lighthouse Title Services division. We’re looking for someone who is customer service oriented, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities & Duties include but not limited to
- Reviewing and verifying all necessary documents for real estate transactions
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations during the closing process
- Preparing closing statements and transaction documents
- Coordinating with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys
- Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies in the title
- Conducting title searches to confirm ownership and identify any liens or claims
- Overseeing the signing of documents and funds disbursement
- Recording closing documents with relevant government agencies
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files and records
- Explaining closing procedures to clients and addressing their questions
- Ensuring all transaction parties meet their obligations before closing
- Scheduling and handling the logistics of the closing meeting
- Handling post-closing follow-ups and necessary corrections
Qualifications & Skills
- Associates' degree and/or minimum of three years experience as title closer
- Licensed Florida Notary
- Familiarity with real estate and title software systems; Qualia a plus!
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of state and federal real estate laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
- Reliable and ethical, with strong integrity
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to interpret and explain complex legal documents
Salary range depending on experience: $24 - $31 per hour depending on experience
