Mission Objectives ? To architect, develop, and sustain SharePoint sites and services in support of AVCOE?s collaborative working environment and mission-critical workflows, enabling secure, efficient, and user-friendly access to data, documents, and business process automation. As AVCOE?s SharePoint Designer/Developer/Administrator, you are the architect and steward of collaboration and information sharing within the organization. By designing, developing, and optimizing SharePoint environments, you empower AVCOE?s workforce, drive process efficiency, and ensure secure, intuitive access to mission-critical information?all supporting the training, education, and readiness of Army aviation professionals.
Position Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain customized SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and workflows within the Army 365 and related environments per user and mission requirement.
- Administer, update, and troubleshoot SharePoint infrastructure (production/test/development), ensuring optimal performance and access controls.
- Migrate content, sites, and business processes from legacy platforms to current enterprise SharePoint solutions.
- Ensure compliance with AVCOE change management policies (ITIL/CM) during all SharePoint development and support activities.
- Develop user guides, SOPs, and workflows for effective content management and site administration.
- Integrate SharePoint with Power Platform tools, including automating data collection, dashboards, and approval processes when needed.
- Provide user training, coaching, and troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and leadership on SharePoint best practices and advanced features.
- Provide bi-weekly reports on system inventory, mission requirements supported, site uptime, and key issues.
- Monitor SharePoint security permissions, regularly auditing sites to ensure compliance with DoD/Federal information assurance requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend enhancements to improve information accessibility, and user experience across AVCOE SharePoint sites.
