Job Summary:
We’re seeking a skilled Trailer/Diesel Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair both trailer systems and diesel-powered vehicles. This dual-role position combines responsibilities typical of trailer mechanics and diesel technicians
Key Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and repair trailers: brakes, axles, lighting, hydraulics, ABS, air lines, lift gates
· Perform diesel engine work: tune-ups, engine, transmission, suspension, exhaust, and brake systems
· Conduct preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and field service calls
· Use diagnostic tools (computer/laptop), perform test drives to verify repairs
· Maintain accurate repair and parts documentation
· Weld, fabricate, replace parts and panels as needed
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED; technical training or degree preferred
· ASE certification(s) in diesel/trailer systems or equivalent
· Valid driver's license (CDL preferred for in-field roles)
· 2+ years’ experience repairing diesel engines and trailers (hydraulic, electrical, brakes)
· Skilled with hand and power tools, welding, and computer diagnostics
· Physical stamina, ability to lift heavy parts and work in varied conditions
Additional Information:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 am to 430 pm
- Compensation: 24.00 to 30.00 per hour depending on experience
