We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Specialist to join our team in Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to and from medical appointments, treatment centers, and other essential destinations. This position requires patience, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer care, as you will often be assisting individuals with mobility challenges or special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients to scheduled destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, including use of mobility aids when needed.
- Provide a professional and courteous experience for all clients.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage, and related documentation.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Current or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification prior to start date.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs to assist clients when necessary.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in ambulette driving, patient transport, or similar roles.
- Knowledge of local roads and safe driving practices.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled populations.
