Join our team as a Travel Insurance Underwriter, where you'll play a key role in assessing and managing risks to develop competitive, profitable products with exceptional customer service. What you’ll be doing:
- Evaluate travel insurance applications, analyzing risk exposure to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Review and approve insurance and reinsurance quotes within your authority, or recommend alternatives if the risk exceeds your limits.
- Prepare pricing models and assess quotes, including exploring creative underwriting solutions and reference-based pricing options.
- Monitor claims trends and loss ratios to adjust underwriting strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and sales teams to optimize coverage and pricing strategies.
- Build strong relationships with brokers, agents, and partners, providing underwriting support and training on policy features and guidelines.
- Ensure all underwriting activities comply with relevant regulatory and legal requirements in applicable markets.
- Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product enhancements and develop new features.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, business, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in travel insurance underwriting or a similar field.
- Extensive knowledge of travel insurance products, policies, and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with underwriting software and risk assessment tools.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

- Salary range: $79,000 - $99,000 competency & experience based.
- Annual Company & Performance based discretionary Bonus up to 15%
