Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including urgent care and long-term care facilities. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to all medical protocols and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Conduct specimen collection processing and ensure proper handling according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans.
- Assist in coding medical procedures and understanding medical terminology for accurate record-keeping.
- Support infant care practices when necessary, ensuring a safe environment for newborns.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing skills.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Experience in patient care settings, particularly in urgent care or long-term care environments.
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for blood draws.
- Familiarity with specimen collection processing procedures.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience with infant care is a plus but not mandatory.
